Delbert Wayne Brownlee, age 80, of Wellington, KS, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He worked for 26 years has an Engineering Technician for Sumner Cowley Electric. He retired in 1994.

Delbert Wayne Brownlee was born on November 15, 1931 in Ashton, KS to Frank Elmer Brownlee and Leona (Manly) Brownlee.

Delbert married Nema Nadine (Brown) Green on May 3, 1968 in Wellington, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Casey Dee; one daughter, Candace Sue; and two sisters, Nadine Wolf and Bessie Harder.

Survivors include his loving wife Nadine Brownlee of Wellington, KS; four sons, Chris Brownlee of Wellington, KS, Cavan Brownlee of Wichita, KS, Jerry Green of Norman, OK, and Mark Green of Wellington, KS; two daughters, Cindy Boyd of Caldwell, KS and Carol Stoneburner of Derby, KS; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 23, 2012 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
