Acy Bill Cody, Jr., age 75, long time Wellington resident, passed away at his home on Saturday morning, December 5, 2009. He retired from Boeing as a supervisor after many years of service.

Acy Bill Cody, Jr. was born on May 17, 1934 in Augusta, KS to Acy Bill Cody, Sr. and Ethel Fern (Wheeler) Cody.

On November 27, 1954 Acy married Conita Lee Wise in Augusta, KS. They recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Acy enjoyed first and foremost spending time with his family, coffee breaks with his friends, private piloting his planes and following the stock market.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Acy Bill Cody, III; one brother, Lawrence Cody; and one sister, Delphine Myers.

Survivors include his loving wife, Conita of Wellington, KS; three sons, Everett L. Cody and his wife Samantha of Wellington, KS, Michael L. Cody and his fiance Mary Ann McEachern of Wellington, KS, and Brett A. Cody and his wife Sheryl of Augusta, KS; two daughters, Trina K. Young and her husband J. Allen of Wellington, KS and Andrea R. Ybarra and her husband Adolpho "Bucky" of Wellington, KS; one brother, Irvin Cody of Augusta, KS; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Frank Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Dane Massey will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
