Agnes J. Keiss, age 97, passed away on December 11, 2022 at her daughter's home in Wichita, KS.  Agnes and her husband William C. Keiss moved to Wellington in 1988 from Clearwater, KS and she resided here until she moved to Wichita in April of this year to be near her family. She retired from Plessey Midwest in 1985 as an expeditor.

Agnes was born on May 14, 1925 in Andale, KS to Nickolas O. Seiwert and Gertrude

(Cordell) Seiwert.

She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, walking with her friends, baking pies, and supporting her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John M. Becker in April of 1955 and William Keiss in May of 2002; 13 brothers and sisters; one grandson; and one son-in-law.

Survivors include her six children, Allan Keiss and his wife Cyndi of Clearwater, KS, Larry Keiss and his wife Kayla of Lincoln, NE, Fred Keiss and his wife Lee of Kansas City, MO, Harold Keiss and his wife Connie of Emporia, KS, Mary Friend of Wichita, KS, and Linda Sharp and her husband Rob of Clearwater, KS; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Prior to Mass of Christian Burial, a Rosary will be held at the Church at 9:30 A.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony – St. Rose Catholic Church on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:00 A.M.  Father Mike Maybrier will officiate.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 1:00  – 7:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.  Memorials can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.
