Alice Muriel Wampler, age 93, of Mayfield, KS, went home to be with her Lord on September 20, 2020. Alice was born September 3, 1927 in Beaumont, CA.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Neal; daughters, Vicky and Trudy; parents, Charles and Bertha Hemsley; brother, Charles Hemsley; and sister, Evelyn (Leo) Lindner.

She is survived by son, Alex (Desiree) Wampler, son, Curtis (Edie) Wampler, Son, Doug (Monique) Wampler; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and dozens of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Alice grew up in St. Helena, CA and served during the Korean War in the US Navy where she met Neal, and raised their children in Southern California. She was active in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Lion's Club, and Mayfield Federated Church. She loved reading and traveling with Neal in their RV with family and friends.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be at Mayfield Federated Church on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. with Military Graveside Services to follow at Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 1:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with the Mayfield Federated Church and with Good Shepherd Hospice. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
