Alma M. Walker, age 79, passed away on Thursday evening, September 10, 2009 in Wellington surrounded by her family. She was the former owner of Walker Trailer Park and Storage.
Alma M. (Molden) Walker was born on December 2, 1929 in Fairview, OK to Daniel E. Molden and M. Imogean (Tippett) Molden.
Alma married Eldon E. Walker on October 12, 1956 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1998.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Phoenix Chapter O.E.S.
Survivors include her son, David Walker and his wife Monica of Wellington, KS; daughter, Linda Marshall of Ponce De Leon, FL; step-daughter, Karen Trone of Oregon; sister-in-law, Toshi Molden of Florida; five grandchildren, Damian Walker of Madison, WI, Nathan Walker of Austin, TX, Jennifer Walker of Wellington, KS; Sgt. Melissa Marshall of Ft. Rucker, AL, and Terry Rau of Caldwell, KS; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 14, 2009. Father Andrew Heiman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with T.E.C. - Catholic Diocese. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
