Obituary
Angelina Ernestine "Angie" Hyatt, age 76, lifelong Wellington resident, passed away February 12, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS surrounded by her loving family. Through the years Angie worked as a CNA/CMA at St. Lukes Hospital and also as a sales associate at the Derby Wal-Mart.
Angelina (Lira) Hyatt was born on November 7, 1941 in Wellington, KS to Jesse Lira and Rosa D. (Delgado) Lira Perez. At a very young age her biological father passed away and she was raised by her mother and Domingo Perez, Sr.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Lira; her parents, Domingo and Rosa Perez; two brothers, Manuel Lira and John Perez; and one sister, Ramona Gustason; nephew, Kenneth Ray Lira; and great nephew, Brock Mitchell Jeffries.
Survivors include her children, Angela Janney, Jerry Ybarra, Jr. (Carrie) and Maria Hernandez; three brothers, Bino Perez (Nellie), Jesse Lira (Lola), and Domingo Perez, Jr. (Kay); nine sisters, Antonia Camero, Margie Brown (Dale), Carolyn Vargas (Paul), Mary Perez, Linda Caudillo (Chris), Pattie Childress, Anita Gallegos (Carlos), Bo Seyfert (Lonnie), and Jenny Robinson; 10 grandchildren, Christine Bacon (Lance), Tyler Janney, Levi Gurley, Natasha Gurley, Noel Ybarra, Mercedes Ybarra, Savanna Ybarra, Dominic Ybarra, Kaiden Hernandez, and Trevan Hernandez; five great grandchildren, Raigan Bible, Hudson Bacon, Lillian Bacon, Carson Janney, and Vincent Caudillo.
Rosary will be held at St. Anthony – St. Rose Catholic Church on Thursday evening, February 15, 2018 at 7:00 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony – St. Rose Catholic Church on Friday morning, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. Father Hung Pham will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.
