Annabele Gressel, age 71, loving, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at Via Christi Regional Medical Center – St. Francis Campus in Wichita, KS on February 28, 2007. She was a homemaker and had been a Wellington resident for many years.

Annabele (Rush) Gressel was born on April 16, 1935 in Shidler, OK to Edwin Rush and Beulah (Woods) Rush.

On July 24, 1950 she married Dewey H. Gressel in Wellington, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Dewey Gressel of Wellington, KS; one son Ed Gressel and his wife Cinde of Burrton, KS; one daughter Beulah King of Wellington, KS; four grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Jason Bruns, Stacia Boden, and Adam Gressel; and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington, KS.

Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to Frank Funeral Home.
