Athena Charis Lea, age 25, passed away on March 10, 2007 in rural Sumner County, KS, due to the result of an automobile accident. Athena was a sales representative.

Athena Charis Lea was born in Wichita, KS on October 26, 1981 to her mother, Evelyn Hearlson.

Athena loved to draw, travel, and play with her niece, Deighlynn Marie Lea. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first nephew in June. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, cousins, and friends.

Athena is survived by her mother, Evelyn Hearlson of Wellington, KS; her step-father to be, Gary Priddy of Wellington, KS; brother, Anthony Tylor Lea and her future sister-in-law, Meredith Watts of Wellington, KS; sister, Melissa Ann Lea of Wellington, KS; grandmother, June Hearlson of Wellington, KS; uncles, Everett T. Hearlson II of Wellington, KS; Alvin Hearlson of Mulvane, KS; Alan Hearlson of Wellington, KS; Wayne Hearlson of Wellington, KS; Steven Ingels of Wellington, KS; aunts, Barbara Smith of Cedar Vale, KS; and Beverly Garcia of Simi Valley, CA; and many cousins.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 16, 2007 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends.

It is the wish of the family that cremation take place. There will be no funeral services.
