Obituary
Betty Mae Beard, age 82, passed away September 30, 2009 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS.
Betty was a life long member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #881.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ralph and Bessie Waldroupe; two brothers, Glenn and Marvin Waldroupe; and one sister, Rose Giddens.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Beard of Wellington, KS and Lee Shawver and his wife, Jenny of Ault, CO; one daughter, Darlene Williams of Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers, James Waldroupe and his wife Kathy of Hosington, KS, Dennis Waldroupe and his wife Cheryl of Grandby, MO, and Ron Waldroupe of Wellington, KS; two sisters, Viola Santos of Wellington, KS and Ruby Shalk of Arkansas City, KS; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at the VFW Post #881 in Wellington, KS on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
