Beulah Rogene (Knox) Currey, age 75, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in Corsicana, TX.

Rogene was born on March 1, 1936 to Harold & Melba (Church) Knox in Wellington, KS. Rogene was the oldest of six children.

After graduating from South Haven High School, she married Percy W. Currey and had four amazing children, Sharon, Linda, Janet, and Eddy, 10 wonderful grandchildren and five awesome great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Kevin Sterling and Ryley Currey.

Survivors include her children, Sharon Engels, Linda Sterling, Janet Hummel, and Eddy Currey; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Bacon, Marjorie Cartmill, and Mary Sneed; two brothers, James Knox and William Knox.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the South Haven Methodist Church. Pastor Russell McAlister will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery in South Haven, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the American Lung Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
