Billy Warren Hobbs, of Peck, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Joy Home Inc. in Oxford, Kansas at the age of 80.
Bill was born the son of Paul and Irma (Newman) Hobbs on November 1, 1943 in Perry, Oklahoma.
On January 26, 1968, Bill married the love of his life, Pamela Hurlburt at the First Baptist Church in Wellington, Kansas, and together they spent 55 years making wonderful memories with one another.
For Bill, the printing business would become a lifelong career as he started as a paper delivery boy at the age of 12 and would end up retiring from the print business in 2005.
Bill was a hard worker with an incredible work ethic to drive him. He never missed work for anything and would only take his vacation so he could spend time with his family. Bill was proud that he had the opportunity to coach each of his children in soccer when they were growing up.
After retirement, Bill enjoyed many different hobbies including: fishing, gardening, college football and basketball, in particular the Kansas State Wildcats, and the Kansas city Chiefs and Royals. He also had a fondness for watching golf and would always make time to go and watch his children and grandchildren's church, school and sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Hobbs; children: Jarad Hobbs (Stephanie); Marcy Hobbs; Ryan Hobbs (Alana); grandchildren: Brittany Elandt (Logan), Morgan, Madalyn and Alex Dial and Makenna, Grace and Ryleigh Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Tom Hobbs.
There are no services at this time as cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given in his name to the following: Joy Home Inc., American Heart Association, or Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Contributions can be left with the funeral home.
