Billie R. Mooningham, age 70, passed away at Via Christi St. Francis on Monday, June 7, 2010. He was the owner of B.R. Mooningham Upholstery for 45 years.
Billie R. Mooningham was born on February 11, 1940 in Lilbourne, MO to Carmen Ray Mooningham and Nathalee (Uselton) Mooningham.
He married Barbara J. Warren on May 27, 1964 in Carlsbad, N.M.
He loved family get-togethers and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed homemade ice cream, country music and good old gospel music. He was a member of the American Legion and the Retired Captain Wellington Police Reserves.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donnie, Peter and Tom; and his sisters, Bonnie and Patsy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara Mooningham of Wellington, KS; son, Donnie Mooningham and his wife Karen of Manhattan, KS; daughter, Lori McCormack and her husband Greg of Kingman, KS; stepfather, LaVern Woody of Wellington, KS; brothers, Paul Mooningham of Wellington, KS and Bob Ziy of Missouri; sisters, Patricia Mooningham of Wellington, KS. Carma Doubet of Illinois and Betty "Carol" King of Wellington, KS; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Frank Funeral Home. Pastor Don Bryant and Pastor Sallie Shore will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
