Brenda J. Davis, age 61, passed away Monday morning, December 28, 2009. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and the co-owner of the Caldwell Sales Company. She also worked in the office at Wheat Capitol Manor for several years as an Administrative Assistant and Tenant Service Director.

Brenda J. (Creed) Davis was born on March 19, 1948 in Wellington, KS to Grant Creed and Thelma Marie Kibbe Creed. She was raised in the Anson/Conway Springs area and graduated with the Conway Springs High School Class of 1966. After graduation Brenda attended Wichita Business College.

She married Gary Davis on March 4, 1967 in Wellington, KS at the First United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was an avid supporter of the Conway Springs Cardinals.

She is preceded in death by her father, Grant Creed.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Gary Davis of Caldwell, KS; two sons, Chad Davis and his wife Debbie of Conway Springs, KS and Jarrod Davis and his wife Ginger of Anson, KS; her mother, Thelma Marie Creed of Caldwell, KS; one brother, Lonnie Creed and his wife Diane of Caldwell, KS; nine grandchildren, Dakota, Ethan Tyson, Tabias, Aspen, Lakin, Allyssa, Grant, and Audrey Davis; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington, KS. Pastor Jan McDaniel of the Corbin United Methodist Church will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Wellington Housing Authority Tenant Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
