Calvin Dale DeLozier, age 69, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 22, 2009 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. He was a retired teacher and an Argonia, KS resident.

Calvin Dale DeLozier was born on October 30, 1939 in Harrisonville, MO to Herschel and Ora Lee (Shank) DeLozier.

On December 27, 1964 he married Julia B. Currier in Wichita, KS.

Dale was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. He enjoyed trips to Hawaii, telling jokes, and spending time with his family. He was particularly fond of his two dogs, Moushy and Sassy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kenneth; and one grandson, Ryan Woodward.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Julia DeLozier of Argonia, KS; two daughters, Lisa Woodward and her husband Jeff of Wichita, KS and Denise Ambot and her husband Wayne of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Doris Edwards and Ailene Foster of Harrisonville, MO; and four grandchildren, Kylie, Austin, Allison, and Ashley.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 5:00 P.M. at the Argonia Cemetery in Argonia, KS. Pastor Mike Neifert will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Argonia High School for a general scholarship. Contributions can be left with or mailed to Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington, Wellington, KS 67152 or Argonia High School, 504 N. Pine Street, Argonia, KS 67004.
