Carlos Sanchez, age 89, passed away Monday morning, April 4, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Wellington. He was a retired construction worker and a former resident of Newton, KS.

Carlos was born on November 4, 1921 in Wellington, KS to Gregorio and Maria (Garcia) Sanchez. He was a graduate of Wellington High School.

Carlos served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. His hobbies were fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; and one brother, Isaac Sanchez.

Survivors include his three sisters, Trinidad Sanchez of Wellington, Cecilia Epperson and her husband Eugene of Derby, and Alejandra "Alex" De La Torre of Los Angeles, CA.

Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Father Andrew E. Heiman will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M..
