Charles (Chuck) Wayne Furman of Wellington, KS died November 18, 2010 at his home at the age of 48. Chuck was a union carpenter for local Union 201 for 20 years.
Chuck was born on December 17, 1961 in Truth Or Consequences, NM to Ory Gene Furman, Sr., and Dellma Rose (McCurry) Furman.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Ory Furman, Sr. and an infant brother, Stevie Furman.
Chuck loved the great outdoors. A perfect day for Chuck was a fishing pole in the water with classic rock and roll playing. He loved camping and fishing, too.
He is survived by his mother, Dellma Snyder; one sister, Diane Furman; three brothers, Vic, Ory Jr., and Ed Furman; niece, Misty Whitham, who was like a little sister to him; great nephew and fishing buddy, Ethan Wolfe; three other nieces, La Donna Stringer, Crystal Furman, and Amelia Boyd; nephews, Victor Furman, Jr. and Travis Boyd; and many other great nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at First Freewill Baptist Church. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate.
