Obituary
Charles Lawrence Witham "Chaz" King, age 18, of Wellington went to Heaven on February 8, 2010 at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in the Nazih Zuhdia Transplant Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
Chaz was a 2010 graduate of Wellington Senior High having completed all of his requirements by December 2009. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wellington, KS. Chaz touched many lives in the 18 years he was on loan to us. He made a difference in everyone's life he came into contact with.
Charles Lawrence Witham King was born on December 22, 1991 in Wellington, KS to Charles King and Tessie Witham.
He enjoyed his family and his beloved dog, "Tracks", video games, rock & roll music, shopping, and horror movies.
He is preceded in death by his great uncle, Kevin Lawrence Witham.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Michelle King of Wellington, KS and Tessie and Jason Clasen of Lincoln, NE; brothers, William "Billy" King of Wellington, KS, Connor Clasen of Lincoln, NE, Jeremy "J. J." and Matt Wingo of Laverne, OK; sisters, Izabella and Caroline King of Wellington, KS and Abby Wingo of Laverne, OK; paternal grandparents, Charles and Joyce King of Wellington, KS; maternal grandparents, William and Karen Imsdahl of Wellington, KS; great grandparents, Shirley S. Witham of Wellington, KS and Lawrence and Brenda Witham of Sebec, Maine; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Chaz is also survived by his best friend since preschool, Lance Witmer and many other friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Southern Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 12, 2010. Pastor Phil Wylie will officiate. Interment will take place at the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery in Waynoka, OK at 4:00 P.M.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
