Christopher Michael Johnson, age 49, lifelong resident of Wellington, KS, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home.  He worked for BNSF Railroad for 24 years and retired as an Engineer.

Christopher was born on January 13, 1972 in Wellington, KS to Eldon K. Johnson and Diana S. (Anderson) Johnson.  He graduated from WHS with the Class of 1990.

Christopher was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family. When Chris was in High School he earned a black belt in Taekwando. He was also an avid gamer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Johnson; uncle, Mike Anderson; and cousin, Billy Fry.

Survivors include his son, Bobby (Johnson) Stefani and daughter, Sierra Stefani; mother, Diana Johnson; brothers, Timothy Johnson, Tyson Johnson and niece and nephews, Scarlet, Tyler, Trystan, and Trent Johnson; sister, Darla (Johnson) Coffman and husband David and nephews, Cooper, Spencer, Anderson, and Miller Coffman; grandchildren, Seriah and Ezekiel; and grandmother, Letha Anderson.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hillside Baptist Church, 2034 N. "B" Street, Wellington, KS on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 3:00 P.M.  Dr. Roger D. Lee will officiate.

A memorial has been established with National Wild Turkey Federation in lieu of flowers.  Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
