Clifford Allen Ross, age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Lake Point of Rose Hill in Rose Hill, KS. He had been a resident of Peck, KS for 50 years before moving to Rose Hill two years ago. He was an auto mechanic for Scholfield Auto for 20 years.

Clifford was born in Ellsworth, WI on July 25, 1932 to Charles J. and Esther M. (Larson) Ross.

He served in the United States Army in Korea from 1952-1954. He was also a member of the VFW Post #7253 in Derby.

On December 24, 1954, he married Helen O. Reynolds at the First Christian Church in Wellington, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Helen Ross; one daughter, Barbara James and her husband Nason of Rose Hill, KS; two brothers, Ed Ross of Grantsburg, WI and Vic Ross of St. Paul, MN; one sister Esther Lindsey of Skiddy, KS; and two grandsons, Cameron and Kyle James.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, KS with Pastor Kent Holcomb of the Calvary Baptist Chulrch in Derby officiating.

A Memorial has been established with the Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.

There will be no visitation.
