Dale Edwin Carroll, age 70, of Burbank, OK, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Ponca City Medical Center in Ponca City, OK. He was a retired equipment operator for the Sumner County Road & Bridge Department for 22 years. He lived in Wellington most of his life before moving to Oklahoma about 15 years ago.

Dale Edwin Carroll was born on December 17, 1942 in Needles, CA to John Robert Carroll and Alice May (Miller) Carroll.

He married Rose Mary (Thellen) Dohrmann on February 13, 2010 in Texas. They recently celebrated three years of marriage.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Robert "Robbie" Carroll.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rose Mary Carroll of Burbank, OK; his brother, David Carroll, and his wife Rita; and his nephew, Chris Carroll all of Wellington, KS.

Military Graveside Services will be held at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington, KS on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. Chaplain Wayne White will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Avenue of Flags in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
