Dale Crouch, 82, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at his home in Wellington, KS. He was a retired machinist for Welco Aerospace, a mechanic for John Deere, a handyman and carpenter.
Dale Crouch was born on January 1, 1929 in Cleveland, KS to Arthur Theodore and Mary Eliza (Cramer) Crouch. He was raised in Kingman and moved to Wellington in 1949.
Dale brought Senior Babe Ruth Baseball to Wellington in 1967 and coached the team for eight years. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, woodworking and anything mechanical. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gene Crouch and one granddaughter, Cara Crouch.
Dale is survived by two sons, Ken Crouch and his wife Mary of Wichita, KS; Randy Crouch and his wife Anna of Wellington, KS; one brother, Charles Crouch and his wife Eudora of Kingman, KS; one sister, Merlynn Landis of Kingman, KS; five grandchildren, David, Craig and Stephen Barnes, Lori Crouch-Evans and Neal Crouch; and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate.
Visitation will be held at funeral home on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 9:00 –1:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with Kansas Wildlife & Parks, Wildtrust Youth Hunting & Fishing of South Central Kansas. Memorials can be left at the funeral home.
