Obituary

Dean Signor Drumhiller, aged 80, passed from this life on January 9, 2007 in Lubbock, TX. Born in Harper, Kansas on June 10, 1926, he was the son of Leatha Maude Signor Drumhiller and Don Drumhiller.

In 1953, Dean married Veralita Fay Wager. Dean and Veralita lived in Milan for their entire married life. They had four children: Stephen, Thomas, Jane, and James. After Veralita's death in 1989, Dean moved to Lubbock, TX to be near his son Tom. For several years, he continued to come to Milan for a few months a year until his health made this impossible.

Dean was a member of the Milan Church of Christ, having put on Christ in baptism at a young age. His children remember many times how he would help them with their Bible lessons and memorizing Bible verses. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Dean and Veralita spent much time training their children; all four remain faithful to the Lord.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Veralita, brother in law Lewis Shaffstall, and parents Don and Leatha. He is survived by his sister Loretta Shaffstall of Conway Springs, brothers Cecil of Anderson SC, and Mike of Catoosa, OK, and their wives Phyllis and Edith. He is also survived by his children: sons Steve, of Wichita, Tom of Lubbock TX, and Jim of Plano TX, daughter Jane Burough of Grafton MA, and their spouses Linda, Leslie, and Frank. Also missing Dean are his grandchildren Damon and Paul Grubb, Rachel and Kara Drumhiller, and Alison Burough, along with three great granddaughters and one great grandson.
