Della Marvelle DeBuhr, age 84, passed away September 22, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Wellington, KS. She was a retired Driver's License Examiner for the State of Kansas.
Della Marvelle (Graves) DeBuhr was born on April 16, 1925 in rural Danville, KS to Lewis W. Graves and Leora O. (Klick) Graves. She attended schools in Wellington and graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1943.
Marvelle married Billy E. DeBuhr on August 18, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1964.
She enjoyed playing cards and dancing.
Marvelle is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy DeBuhr; and sister, Maxine Robinson Brooner; and her great nephew, Nathan Platt.
Survivors include her nieces, Nancy Cathers and Paulette DeBuhr both of Wellington, KS; nephews, Robert Robinson and his wife Sandy of Wichita, KS, Merritte DeBuhr and his wife Sherry and their children Merridith and Amber of Greenfield WI and Jeff Hooten and his wife Anita and their son Michael of Broomfield, CO; great nephew, Christopher A. Robinson and his wife Corey Evans and their children Brendan Robinson, Justyn Evans and Joseph Evans of Wichita, KS; great niece, Serena Huerter and her husband Brad and their children Garrett and Ella of Seneca, KS.
Memorial Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. There will be a private family interment.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.
Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas and the Wellington Human Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
