Delores Ann Ford, age 66, loving mother, grandmother and long time Mayfield resident, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at her home.
Delores was born in Riverdale, Kansas on May 20, 1941 to Paul Reed Gressel and Martha Ellen (Cumberledge) Gressel.
She married Billy Don Ford, Sr. on May 29, 1958 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2005.
Delores retired as office manager of Mayfield Oil Products after 25 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Don, Sr.; and two brothers, Donald and Dwight Gressel.
Survivors include four sons, Billy Don Ford, Jr. and his wife Robin of Arkansas City, KS, Jeffery Allen Ford and his wife Gloria of South Haven, KS, Larry Dean Ford and his wife Joni of Mayfield, KS, and Kenneth Eugene Ford of Argonia, KS; two daughters, Deanna Mae Gaither and her husband Bradley of Derby, KS and Candice Sue McMinn and her husband Leonard of Mayfield, KS; one brother, Dewey Gressel of Wellington, KS; seven granddaughters, Angela Peters of Wichita, Venessa Roberts of Arkansas City, Maggie and Anna McMinn of Mayfield,KS, Stephanie Gaither of Mulvane, KS, Allison, and Ashton Gaither of Derby, KS; two step-grandsons, Aaron Roper of Peck, KS and Dusty Roper of Maize, KS; six great grandchildren; Mackenzie Peters of Wichita, Logan Roberts and Sayler Roberts of Arkansas City, Dylan Dean Roper of Peck, KS, Calista Roper of Maize, KS, and Carson Muller of Mulvane, KS; and extended family, Whitney and Courtney Blake.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11:00 A.M._ at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS. Reverend John Mikow will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Cremation has taken place.
A memorial has been established with the Mayfield Fire Department in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.
