Dolores A. Green, age 79, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away January 9, 2009 at her home in Wellington, KS. She was a life long resident of Wellington and a retired Food Service Director at Wellington Hospital for 23 years.

Dolores A. (Lane) Green was born on September 24, 1929 in Wellington, KS to Roy E. Lane, Sr. and Elsie Mae (Haltom) Lane. She attended schools here in Wellington and graduated with the Class of 1947.

She married Ray D. Green on October 17, 1950 in Bentonville, AR. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2001.

She enjoyed walking and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Tim and Karl Green, and one sister, Marilyn Rayl.

Survivors include her two children Kim Green and his wife Virginia of Kechi, KS and Brenda Dwyer and her husband Rodger of Wellington, KS; three grandchildren Ryan Dwyer and his wife Lori of Olathe, KS, Chris Dwyer of Holiday, FL, and Amy McGinnis and her husband Michael of Bel Aire, KS; and four great grandchildren, Lauryn Dwyer and Dylan Dwyer of Olathe, KS and Cody and Shelby McGinnis of Bel Aire, KS.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Gary Bodine will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas and the American Diabetes Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
