Donald Francis Huddleston, age 79, of Wellington passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Wichita, KS. He was born to Francis and Lela (Mantooth) Huddleston in Anthony, KS on January 17, 1940. He was raised on the farm west of South Haven where he attended school.
Donnie, to his family and friends, was one of the "original" members of Futures Unlimited and worked there over 40 years. He loved working in the shop and sharing the crafts he made with family and friends. Donnie cherished the friendships he made there.
After his mother's passing, Don moved to Wellington and enjoyed having his own apartment. He lived there until his passing.
Despite physical challenges, Don had a quick wit and could whip anyone in checkers. He was an avid Yankee fan, and he hardly ever missed a game on TV. Don was a member of the South Haven United Methodist church for 62 years.
Don is survived by sister-in-law Bunny Huddleston of Concord, Connecticut; Nephew Justin Huddleston and wife Jaimie with their children Leah and Emma; Niece Sarah Dickinson and husband Reg, aunts, uncles and many cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Darrell and Lawrence.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 27 at 10:30 A.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery in South Haven, KS.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
