Donald L. "Crazy" Ray, age 54, passed away on July 15, 2006 in Wichita, KS at Via Christi Regional Medical Center – St. Francis. He was owner operator of Don Ray Contract Pumping.

Don was born on February 9, 1952 in Peoria, IL to Herbert and Marilyn (Waggoner) Ray.

On December 21, 1974 he married Connie Sue Pearson in Wellington.

He is preceded in death by his father Herbert Ray, wife Connie in 1993, and one sister Diane Bond.

Survivors include his two sons, Jason Ray and his wife LaVeta of Caldwell, KS and Joshua Ray of Wellington, KS; mother Marilyn Ray of Argonia, KS; brothers Bobby Ray of Parsons, KS and Dexter Ray of Harper, KS; sisters Bonnie Larchey of Braman, OK, Berniece Coffey of Summersville, MO and Juanita Hanks of Oklahoma; three grandchildren Connie, Alexandra, & Dallas Ray all of Caldwell, KS.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Sumner Memorial Gardens. Pastor Robert Nickel of Grace Baptist Church will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Wellington Humane Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
