Obituary

Donald Ray Stewart II departed this world on February 27, 2013 at 11:43 p.m. at Sumner Regional Medical Center releasing him from a year of pain and suffering as a result of his auto accident a year ago March 1st.

He came into this world feet first and ready to run on January 9, 1967 in Dallas, TX to Donald R. and Ann (Zech) Stewart. He stayed in Dallas until his mother, brother, and sister moved to Houston. He married Janice Wick and five children were born to this marriage. Don moved his family to Wellington, KS in 2004 to be close to his family. He was a "repo man," electrician assistant, apartment manager, and maintenance man to name a few.

His favorite pastime was doing things with his children, especially being "king of the grill" at home, camping, or anywhere there was a grill. Don loved the water and took the children boating all summer. Four-wheeling and sledding were their favorite winter activities. Paint balling was a year around favorite with Ryan.

Don is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Stewart; son, Austin Stewart; grandparents, C. W. and Marjory Stewart and Burton and Dixie Zech.

He is survived by his children, Desiree Stewart of Texas, Ryan Stewart of Oxford, KS, and Taylor, Chelsea, and Conner Stewart of Peck, KS; mother, Ann Barnes of Wellington, KS; brother, Christopher Stewart of Wellington, KS; sister, Melissa Ybarra and Brice Marshall of Wellington, KS; uncles and families, Richard (Kathy) Zech of Wellington, KS, Jerry (Sue) Stewart of Dallas, TX and Jim (Joann) Stewart of Allen, TX; great aunt, Mini Thomas of Topeka, KS; cousins, Gretchen Zech-Donaldson of Wichita, KS, Spencer Zech of Idado; nephews, Tyler Ybarra of Lansing, MI and Taylan Ybarra of Hutchinson, KS and Wade Stewart of Wellington, KS; and niece, Jourdan Stewart of San Marcos, TX.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate.

Memorials have been established with the Wellington Humane Society and MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers). Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
