Donna Marie Langford, of Wellington, Kansas, passed away at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas on June 16, 2023 at the age of 74.
Donna was born the daughter of Joseph and Opal Vera (Gardner) Locke on April 18, 1949 in Nevada, Missouri.
On February 2, 1969, Donna and Charles William Langford were united in marriage and celebrated 29 years together before Charles' passing in 1998.
In her professional life, Donna was a dedicated teacher's aid who worked tirelessly to educate and inspire the children in her care. Above everything, her love for her family and her commitment to putting them first was evident in all aspects of her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Bright; son, Charles (Kimberly) Langford; grandchildren: Brady (Pamela) Walker, Damon Langford, Bailey (Brett) Walker, Alex (Maryah) Langford, Reece (Riley) Langford, Braxton Bright, Trent Langford; greatgrandchildren: Hunter Walker-Clark, Kasten Clark, Emma Walker, Nolan Langford, Harper Langford; sisters, Karen (Don) Lawless and Saundra (Chuck) Hutchison along with numerous other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Vera Locke and her husband, Charles Langford.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 1:00 to 7:00 pm, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Funeral services for Donna will take place at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Wellington Methodist Church, 202 W. Harvey Ave., Wellington, Kansas. A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the Wee Too Preschool, 202 West Harvey Avenue, Wellington, Kansas 67152.
