Dorothy Alice Baldwin, age 93, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Oxford, KS.

Dorothy A. (Walton) Coffelt Baldwin was born on March 27, 1918 in Wellington, KS to William Walton and Iza Pearl (McKelvy) Walton.

Dorothy married Garland Willard Coffelt on December 28, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Ira A. Baldwin on February 22, 1972. He preceded her in death in 1995.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; infant son, Richard Coffelt; son, Gary Wayne Coffelt; daughter, Melba Jean Chase; and great granddaughter, Megan Lightner.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Meridith of Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren; and numerous great and great great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home in Wellington, KS on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Meridith Lohse and Pastor Danny Ginn will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on September 21, 2011 from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Riverview Manor Nursing Home. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
