Dorothy (Dot) Faye Fenton, age 90, completed her journey home on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 surrounded by her family and loved ones at Golden Living Center in Wellington, KS.
Dorothy Faye (Weatherred) Fenton was born on December 5, 1918 in Fort Worth, TX to Lafayette and Hattie (Harris) Weatherred.
Dot and Robert Fenton were united in marriage on July 8, 1942 in Clovis, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, sewing, canning, card games, and children. She never worked outside the home but always aspired to having her own daycare because of the love of little children. If her life could be summed up in three words the family said they would be Live, Laugh, and Love. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; two brothers; and three sisters.
She leaves behind family that will try to portray her happy and kind disposition. Those surviving are two daughters, Carole Conley and her husband Jim of Wichita, KS and Brenda Wallace and her husband Charles of Wellington, KS; five grandchildren, Tiffany Phillips of Colorado, Heather Biermaier and Chris Conley of Wichita, KS, Jana Moler of Buhler, KS, and Jodie Wallace of Overland Park, KS; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Frank Funeral Home. The Rev. Gail Fisher will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Many tears will be shed for you, Mother. "There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than 10,000 tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love." Washington Irving.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
