Dorothy was born on November 18, 1918 in Wellington, KS, the daughter of Oscar Frank and Beulah Opal (Beatty) Morrell. Oscar was away in the trenches of France when his daughter was born during WWI. She also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her friends. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, mostly in the western United States, to visit family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neel; one daughter, Joni; one brother, Marvin Morrell; and two sisters, Wanda Ervin and Ruth Lansden.
Survivors include her son, James Lauterbach of Wellington, KS; three grandchildren, Amy Kearney, Jessica Tuten and Carley Lucas; and six great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
