Edith Carol Peck, age 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and lifelong resident of the Belle Plaine area, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 31, 2013 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington. Edith was a homemaker.

Edith Carol (Blankenship) Peck was born on April 22, 1920 in rural Belle Plaine, KS to Felix C. Blankenship and Maude A. (Bender) Blankenship.

She married John A. Peck on December 31, 1947 in Wichita, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Patricia Ingram.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John of Belle Plaine; children, David Peck and his wife Kathy of Wellington, Jeanette O'Hair and her husband Carl of Coldwater, KS, Janice Yoder and her husband Fred of Wellington, and Julie Peck of Belle Plaine; grandchildren, Craig and Aaron O'Hair, and Sara and Brian Peck, step-grandchildren, Mike, David, Curt, and Phil Yoder.

Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Futures Unlimited and the Belle Plaine Alumni Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
