Edward B. J. Otte, 88, Wellington resident, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas.

Edward was born the son of Alfred and Louise (Zemke) Otte in Smith County, Kansas on July 28, 1935.

He joined the National Guard during Vietnam.

His faith was strong and church was very important to Edward. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Julia Otte, daughter, Jane Otte. He is survived by his brother, Lee Otte of Hillsboro, Missouri and sister, Bernice Soderberg of Valrico, Florida.

A private graveside service will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Calvary Lutheran Church 1300 North C Street, Wellington, Kansas 67152. Contributions can be left with the funeral home or mailed to the church.
