Eliga Austin Creed, age 88, of Conway Springs, KS, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS. He worked at Hyde Park Milk Dairy as a machine operator for over 40 years before retiring.

Eliga Austin Creed was born on October 12, 1925 in rural Anson, KS to Wiley Creed and Dollie Louise (Hare) Creed. He served in the United States Army from September of 1950 to July of 1952.

Eliga A. Creed married Dorothy May Simon on January 1, 1956 in Conway Springs, KS. She preceded him in death on June 8, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy; one brother, Kerry Creed; and four sisters, Floria Standridge, Necia Bilson, Emma Riggs and Mary Warren.

Survivors include one son, Wendell Creed and his wife Maria of Wichita, KS; two daughters, Susie Weber and her husband Henry of Milan, KS and Becky Kelly and her husband Brian of Wichita, KS; five brothers Holland Creed of Wellington, KS, William Creed of Cleora, OK, Daniel Creed of Wellington, KS, Fred Creed of Conway Springs, KS and Wiley Buck Creed of Post Falls, ID; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at the Austin Cemetery in Anson, KS on Friday, April 11, 2013 at 1:00.P.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Wounded Warrior Project. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
