Obituary

Elva M. Gallemore, age 92, Wellington resident for most of her adult life, passed away Monday morning, February 24, 2020 at her home. She worked alongside her husband in the family printing business for many years and then as a secretary for 15 years at GEC and retired in 1990.

Elva was born on October 18, 1927 in Howard, KS to Richard C. Parnell and Hallie M. (Bilbrey) Parnell.

She married James C. Gallemore on September 1, 1946 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death 2006.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and had spent many years volunteering as a "pink lady" for Sumner Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; one son, David Gallemore; son-in-law, John Scheffer; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include her children, Paula Hanlon and her husband Bill of Laporte, CO and Kendall Gallemore of Wichita, KS; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Gallemore of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Scotty Eastman and Ryan Gallemore both of St. Louis, MO, Kim Angcay of Denver, CO, Jill Oropeza of Ft. Collins, CO; and 10 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Bob Nusser will officiate.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
