Elvin R. Watts, age 76, passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center on Thursday, January 17, 2008. He was a retired farmer.

Elvin R. Watts was born on June 12, 1931 in Corbin, KS to Lorane "Jack" Watts and Edra (Smith) Watts.

Elvin served in the United States Army from August of 1952 to August of 1954.

He married Joyce A. Urban Stover on April 19, 1963 in Wellington, KS.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin Watts and Marion Watts.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joyce A. Watts of Wellington, KS; three sons, Aron Watts and his wife Andrea of Edmond, OK, Lloyd Stover of Valley Center, KS, and Stuart Stover of Pratt, KS; three daughters, Cindy Bauer and her husband Mike of Wellington, KS, Jeanette Crisler and her husband Kent of Wellington, KS, and Diane Lizarraga and her husband Mike of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Arnold Watts and his wife Margie of Wellington, KS; 12 Grandchildren, Jesse Crisler and his wife Julie, Megan Kane and her husband John, Hilary Murphy and her husband Joe, Seth Crisler, Gracie Crisler, Zach Stover, Tyler Stover, Sara Herman, Austin Norton, Adam Stover, Nolan Bauer and Drew Bauer; 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Bethany Cemetery in Perth, KS.

Visitation will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas and also with the Bethany Cemetery Fence Fund at Perth, KS in lieu of flowers.
