Esme Eva Nicole McGowan joined her uncle, Jaime Fontes, on July 8, 2009 at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She gave a gift of life by donating her organs.

Esme Eva Nicole McGowan was born on August 2, 2008 in Wichita, KS to Allison McGowan and Steven Drake.

Survivors include her mother, Allison McGowan and her father, Steven Drake both of Wellington; grandparents, Shannon McGowan of Ponca City, OK, Mark Hellier,Terry and Peggy Drake all of Wellington, Dawn Wade of Pine Ville, MO, great grandmother, Margie McGowan and great great grandfather, Les Thompson both of Wellington.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Freewill Baptist Church. Pastor Zane Brooks will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Ronald McDonald House. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
