Obituary
Eugene D. McCurry, age 84, long time Wellington resident, passed away Monday evening, February 25, 2008 at Slate Creek Deseret Nursing Home.
Eugene D. McCurry was born on May 27, 1923 in Stillwater, OK to Barney M. McCurry and Forest D. (Moss) McCurry.
Gene enjoyed music and could play the piano by ear. He also loved fishing, riding horses when he was younger, and a good game of horseshoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James "Jim" McCurry.
Survivors include two sisters, Dellma Snyder and Laura Bowman both of Wellington, KS; nieces, Diane Furman, Patricia Stauffer, and Shirley Mies; nephews, Vic Furman, Ory Furman, Jr., Charles Furman, Edward Furman, Dale Bowman, and Kenneth Bowman; great niece, Misty Whitham; and many other numerous nieces and nephews; and a special mention to his great great nephew, Ethan Wolfe.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Memorial Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:30 A.M.
