Eunice D. McMillan, age 99, of Wellington, KS passed away early Sunday morning, April 19, 2015 at Winfield Rest Haven Nursing Home in Winfield, KS.

Eunice D. (Ash) McMillan was born on June 22, 1915 in Milan, KS to Ray Ash and Delcie (Chamberland) Ash.

Eunice married Ellis Darwin McMillan on July 22, 1934 in Belle Plaine, KS at the Church of Christ parsonage. He preceded her in death in on October 22, 2009.

She spent most of her life on the family farm southwest of Belle Plaine before moving to Wellington in 1988. She was a long time member of the Belle Plaine Church of Christ and a member of the Church of Christ in Wellington at her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis; son, Norman Dale McMillan; one brother; three sisters; and son-in-law Larry Deniston.

Survivors include her two children, Gary Leon McMillan of Guymon, OK and Maurine Kay Deniston of Albuquerque, NM; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Christ in Wellington on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Michael Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Belle Plaine Cemetery in Belle Plaine, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 23, 2014 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Carpenter Place in Wichita, KS in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
