Frances Louise Krueger, age 79, long time Wellington resident, passed away Monday afternoon, October 15, 2007 at Golden Living Center in Wellington, KS where she had been living for the past two years. She was a retired Certified Medical Technologist and had worked at St. Lukes Hospital and Sumner Regional Medical Center for many years.

Frances Louise Krueger was born on November 14, 1927 in Dodge City, KS to Herman Henry Krueger and Anna Marie (Schaaf) Krueger. Frances attended schools in Dodge City and was a graduate of Dodge City High School with the Class of 1945. She then went to work for the telephone company and worked there for several years before returning back to school for two years at Dodge City Community College.

Frances' main focus in life was her faith and her church. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, a member of the Church Cabinet, Treasurer of the Dorcas Society, President of the local Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapter, and had also been active in the Wichita Zone Lutheran Women's Missionary League. After Frances retired, she was a tireless volunteer at the Elementary Schools in Wellington, particularly Lincoln Elementary, a Pink Lady at Sumner Regional Medical Center, and a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. Frances' hobbies included crocheting, reading, and music.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Ruth Cordes.

Survivors include her brother Charles Krueger and his wife Patricia; seven nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and many cousins and caring friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Lutheran Church. Pastor Michael Wolff will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City, KS.

A memorial has been established with Calvary Lutheran Church. Contributions can be mailed or left at Frank Funeral Home.
