On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Gary L. Roth passed away at the age of 80.

Gary was born on December 18, 1937, in Wellington, KS to John and Ophelia (Wright) Roth. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1955. While in his teens, he began working for Wright Dairy in Wellington. When Wright Dairy became part of Steffen's Dairy in Wichita, he continued his employment with them until he retired.

Gary married Nancy Hopkins Goodman in 1970. He moved to Belle Plaine, Kansas, where he raised his children. He enjoyed collecting antiques and refinishing furniture, which he became quite accomplished at. Gary is remembered for his orneriness, as evidenced by the twinkle in his eye , which stayed with him to the end.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Ophelia; and recently his sister, Janis Danders. He is survived by his brother, Stanley Roth of Snohomish, Washington and sister, Barbara Dodson of Douglas, Kansas; four children:Darren Roth of Belle Plaine, Kansas; daughter Lori (Roth) Whitworth of Wichita, Kansas; daughter Renee (Goodman)Acors of Las Cruces, New Mexico; son, Darren Goodman and his wife Helen of Haysville, Kansas; four grandchildren, Alayna and Alex Whitworth, Dalton and Dylan Roth; and four step-grandchildren, Brandi Cunningham, Brian Rayl, Crystal Rayl, and Alicia Riggs.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Gary on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Compassionate Care West, 968 N. Tyler Road, Wichita, Kansas 67212.

Arrangements are being made through Frank Funeral Home in Wellington.
