Gerald K. "Butch" Shore, age 72, Mayfield, KS resident, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.  Butch was a retired employee of the Sumner County Road and Bridge where he was a heavy equipment operator.

Gerald K. Shore was born on May 2, 1949 in Wellington, KS to Clifford J. Shore and Mary "Bernice" (Mears) Shore.  He was a 1967 graduate of Wellington High School.

Butch was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fred Shore.

Survivors include his children, Brian Shore and Melinda Wood of Mayfield, KS, Bret Shore of Wellington, KS, Rocky Shore and his wife Sharon of Chanute, KS, and Sandy Shore Metz and her husband John of Wichita, KS; brother, Ron Shore and his wife Louan of Scott City, KS; 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation.

Graveside Services will be held at the Chicaskia Cemetery on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.  Chris Kreifels will officiate.

A memorial has been established with the Mayfield Federated Church in lieu of flowers.  Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
