Gilbert "Bert" Daniel Cranmer, age 94, resident of Farmersville, TX, formerly of Wellington, KS, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at his residence in Farmersville. Burt was a retired farmer.

Bert was born on February 19, 1924 in Wakita, OK to Samuel F. Cranmer and Ruthie Belle (Bebout) Cranmer. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.

He married Wilda "Jolene" Collins on August 1, 1950 in Medford, OK. She preceded him in death in 2004.

Bert enjoyed spending time with his family, church, farming, Studebaker automobiles, and working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jolene; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his children, Larry Cranmer and his wife Krista of Haysville, KS and Sherry Harrington and her husband Arlen of Farmersville, TX; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. Reverend Rodger Tyrrell and Reverend Bob Nusser will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
