Gladys Faye Ingle, age 93, of Wellington, passed away Friday morning, February 20, 2015 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Through the years she worked as a Postal Clerk and a Hardware Store Clerk in Howard, KS and also as a Dispatcher for the Elk County Sheriff Department.
Gladys Faye (Waller) Ingle was born on April 14, 1921 in Moline, KS to John David Waller and Mary Edna Elizabeth (Venning) Waller. She graduated from High School in Moline, KS.
Gladys married William Theodore Ingle on November 7, 1942 in Howard, KS. He preceded her in death in April of 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; four brothers; and daughter-in-law, Sarah Ingle.
Survivors include her two children, Carl Ingle of Osawatomie, KS and Karen Gerberding and her husband, Leon of Mayfield, KS; three grandchildren, Allyson Ingle (Andy Mullan), Michelle Stafford and her husband, Christopher, and Randy Gerberding and his wife, Hannah; and two great granddaughters, Chloe and Lorelei Stafford.
Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Bob Nickel will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
