Glen Elden Simon, age 75, longtime Wellington resident, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Slate Creek Good Samaritan Center. He had been a resident there since 1994.
Glen Elden Simon was born on March 25, 1931 in Stockton, KS to Orville S. Simon and Cashes Viola "Goldie" (Jackson) Simon.
Glen never married or had children of his own but helped raise nephews John and Robbie. He was known as "Buz" to his older siblings and as "Bubby" to his younger sisters. He enjoyed baseball , football, playing pool and checkers. He also enjoyed drawing pictures of cowboys out of comic books. His favorite country and western singer was Eddie Arnold. Glen will be greatly missed by all his family.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Orville, and Albert Simon; sisters, Loretta Simon and Patricia Simon Seyler.
Survivors include his four sisters, Evelyn Ecton, Mary Jane Reedy and her husband Everett, Marcella Kelly and her husband Will, and Frances June Mason all of Wellington; KS; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Bryen Nichols will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 21, 2007 from 1:00-9:00 P.M.
