Obituary

Henry Wolf, Jr., age 90, of South Haven, KS, passed away Monday morning, January 21, 2013 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. He was a retired farmer and stockman.

Henry Wolf, Jr. was born on August 7, 1922 in Portland, KS to Henry Wolf, Sr. and Amy (Fredrickson) Wolf.

Henry served in the United States Navy during WWII from September 1942 - December 1945.

He married Betty Lee Worley on May 8, 1950 in Wellington, KS. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on December 12, 1995.

Henry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; one son, Ronald Wolf; two brothers, Carl Wolf and Wallace "Bud" Wolf; and two sisters, Doris Haines and Anna Mae Rosenberry.

Survivors include two sons, Steven Wolf and his wife Sandra of Wynnewood, OK and Douglas and his wife Julie Wolf of South Haven, KS; two sisters, Harriet Coulter of Winfield, KS and Lois Jordan of Wichita, KS; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in South Haven, KS on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor John Minor will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery near Ashton, KS.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
