Iris "Ruth" Dwyer, age 87, passed away December 27, 2006 at Vintage Place of Derby in Derby, Kansas. She was a retired homemaker and a long time Wichita, KS resident.

Iris "Ruth" Dwyer was born on April 10, 1919 in Midco, MO to Charles Fletcher and Agatha (Smith) Fletcher. She was the youngest of five children.

She married Clarence B. Dwyer on December 29, 1939. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1982.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence, one son Benny; two brothers Olan and Ralph and two sisters Sibyl and Montice.

Survivors include her two daughters Darlinne Vermilyea and her husband Gary of Wichita, KS and Linda Bandy and her husband Gene of Arlington, TX; daughter-in-law Shirley Dwyer of Derby, KS; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Frank Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 1, 2007 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Vintage Place of Derby. Contributions can be left at the funeral home or mailed to Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington, Wellington, KS 67152.
