James Richard "Jim" Andrews, age 69, passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2009. He was a retired Insurance and Bonds Agent for Old Republic Insurance Company and had been a Wellington resident since 1976.

James Richard Andrews was born on December 14, 1939 in Bethany, OK to Clinton and Adenia (Byrd) Andrews. James was raised in Bethany and attended schools there and graduated from Bethany High School in 1958. James furthered his education in his favorite field of radiogenetics and radionics getting his degree from Brantridge University.

Jim married Delphia Buller on August 30, 1965 in Bethany, OK.

He enjoyed gardening, reading, Bible history, and health issues.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Delphia Andrews of Wellington, KS; one brother, John C. Andrews of Keller, TX; one sister, Adenia "Marie" Brown of Keller, TX; one nephew, James S. Brown of Steilacoom, WA; two nieces; three sisters-in-law, Delila Henning of Owasso, OK, Viletta Schmidt of Enid, OK, Leota Harms of Newton, KS; and one brother-in-law, Ronald Buller of Sheridan Lake, CO.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Southern Baptist Church. Pastor Phil Wylie will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established in Jim's name with the First Southern Baptist Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
