James Leon McEachern, age 61, of Wellington, KS passed away Thursday evening, March 22, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Wellington, KS. He was a retired hospital maintenance supervisor in Rogers, AR for many years.

James Leon McEachern was born on May 12, 1945 in Topeka, KS to Leo Neil McEachern and Dorothy M. (Higgins) McEachern. He was raised in Wellington and graduated with the WHS Class of 1964.

He liked spending time with his family, fishing, and was also an avid gun enthusiast and enjoyed traveling to gun shows and buying and selling firearms.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Neil McEachern.

James is survived by his mother, Dorothy McEachern of Wellington, KS; brother, Mike McEachern and his wife Rise of Wellington, KS; sister, Rose Goodrum and her husband Dick of Mayfield, KS; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 2:00 P.M. Chaplain Dan Floyd of Hospice Care of Kansas will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
